⦁ while commander shepard pursues saren through the mu relay to the conduit, sovereign and the geth attack the citadel.
⦁ during the battle,  anakin sustains life-threatening injuries  from an explosion, resulting in severe burns across most of his body.  he undergoes extensive reconstruction surgery, receiving a cybernetic prosthetic arm, cybernetically enhanced legs, the newly developed L4 biotic implants, and structural reinforcements to his collarbone and shoulder to support the cybernetic prosthetic.
⦁  ME2 begins : one month after the citadel battle, the SSV NORMANDY is destroyed by an unidentified assailant, leading to commander shepard’s presumed death  the systems alliance declares shepard “killed in action.” 2185 CE  
⦁ commander shepard is revived by cerberus and tasked with investigating human colony disappearances in the terminus systems.
⦁ seizing on rumors of shepard’s defection to cerberus, senator palpatine offers spectre status to anakin, which he accepts [ verse dependent ].
